YES!!! Please make sure your passport does not expire within six months of our wedding. This means if your expiration date is anywhere within the months of March 2025 - September 2025, you will need to get a new passport before you travel to Mexico. The airlines will not let you board the plane if your passport expires within this timeframe.

While there are places to eat that do not require reservations, most do. Please email prearrivalconciergern@velasresorts.com to book any of the restaurants listed below. Is there a Spa?

Yes, and it is GOOD one! Se Spa is open 9am - 7pm. It is highly recommended that you book ahead of time using the prearrival concierge. This is the same email address you will use to book dinner reservations. prearrivalconciergern@velasresorts.com REMEMBER: Guests will receive a $50.00 spa credit per person, per day. The bonus applies to treatments lasting 50 minutes or more, exclusively in the Spa. It cannot be transferred to another guest, accumulated, or redeemed for cash. It cannot be combined with other Spa promotions.

Can we stay at another hotel?

You are more than welcome to stay somewhere else. However, there is a $250.00 per person per event fee that is paid to attend the events at Grand Velas if you are not a resort guest. You will be limited to only attending the event and will not be allowed on property at any other time. This is why we have contracted a block of discounted rooms for our guests so that you can stay onsite and enjoy the entire week/weekend with us.

Yes, we would love to have your little ones there to celebrate with us. Should you want a parent's night out or some alone time at the pool, the resort has a sitter service and kids club.

How old does my child need to be for the Kid's Club?

SCHEDULE: 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. Kids’ Club We're full of surprises! To ensure more entertainment for your little ones, we have divided our Kids' Club into two categories: Kids' Club Garden, designed for children 4- 5 years old Kids' Club Terrace, created for kids aged 6 to 12. Kids' Club Garden A space created for children under 5 years old, so they can have fun in a safe environment with their parents and our experienced staff. The oversized games will encourage cognitive development and boost children's creativity: from Tic-Tac-Toe and Twister to Snakes and Ladders, Jenga, and Connect 4. They can also enjoy our horizontal climbing wall and the ping pong table. In the evenings, there will be an array of exciting activities, including slumber parties, story-telling, camping, and Cinema Pancho, among others. Kids' Club Terrace Children aged 6 to 12 will have fun as never before during their vacation. Let them challenge their abilities with our hockey and soccer tables, table games, and TV programming suitable for their age. If you wish, you can also enjoy this amazing environment with your little ones!

What is the attire for the events?

WELCOME PARTY: Come as you are! We will be hosting this on lawn overlooking the ocean. Come as you are - sundresses, shorts, polo shirts, sandals. WEDDING: Cocktail Beach Attire Most importantly, we're so excited to celebrate with you and want you to come however you feel comfortable! Our suggested attire is Beach Cocktail, so think fun and relaxed. For the ladies, think a dress or jumpsuit of any length. Off-the-shoulder sleeves, sleeveless, or spaghetti straps, short or long length – it's all fair game! For the guys, feel free to skip the jacket. If you want to wear one, a button-down shirt with a breezy sport coat or a fun blazer would be great, but not necessary. Since part of our wedding will be near or on sand and grass, we recommend opting for flat shoes or sandals, or choosing a block heel/wedge.
