We love museum dates and highly recommend the Art Insititue of Chicago. Don't miss Seurat's "A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte" which you'll recognize from Ferris Bueller's Day off. Fionna loves anything by Monet, and Brendan's favorite is Nighthawks by Edward Hopper.
If you get to town early for our wedding celebration, the White Sox play an afternoon game on the South side on Thursday 9/11 and the Cubs play an afternoon game on the North side on Friday 9/12. Unfortunately our White Sox are brutal to watch but the games are always fun!
- Piece Pizza (Wicker Park) - New Haven style pizza and award winning brews - Time Out Market (Fulton Market) - always busy but lots fun local vendors to check out! - Green Street Meats (West Loop) - great BBQ with open seating, near the hotel - 5 Rabinitos (Pilsen) - excellent Mexican food, but you cannot go wrong in Pilsen - Pleasant House Pub (Pilsen) - Bib Gourmand-rated British pub right by our venue! - Pizza Lobo (Logan Square) - NY-style + local beers with a great patio - Lou Malnati's - you need to try Chicago's famous deep dish at least once (though we prefer tavern style ourselves!) Likely need a reservation but recommend if you plan ahead: - Pizz'amici (West Town) - some of the best Chicago tavern style - Armitage Alehouse (Lincoln Park) - delicious pub with British + Indian fare, but a hot reservation to get - Chef Special (Logan Square) - fantastic Chinese food with incredible cocktails
