Like any good modern love story, Fionna and Brendan found each other on Hinge in early 2019. Fionna was puzzled by Brendan's prompt about having never tried a meatball (they've shared many since). The first date took place at Pub Royale, where they ended up spending hours trying every single Pimm's cup on the menu. Their conversation was effortless, and they bonded over shared love of music, travel, and Chicago. Brendan texted his buddy "I'm in love with this girl" during the date. While talking, they uncovered many concerts they had both attended before they ever crossed paths - it felt like they were meant to find each other. It only took a few dates to make it official, and they have never looked back. Since 2019 Fionna and Brendan have shared wonderful music and travel adventures near and far - from seeing Stevie Wonder at Red Rocks to Bob Dylan in Berlin. They feel at home with each other, and grow more in love through every shared experience. Nearly five years since that first date, Brendan popped the question in front of where it all began in Wicker Park (although Pub Royale is now Desert Hawk). Brendan was so nervous during dinner that he barely touched his food, but managed to keep the secret under wraps. When he got down on one knee, he forgot to ask the question! Luckily Fionna read his mind, she said yes, and they went down the block to celebrate with family and friends at Fatpour. They couldn't be happier to be spending the rest of their lives together. Fionna and Brendan love living in Chicago where they try to explore new neighborhoods throughout the city. Together they adopted their beloved Maizey from One Tail at a Time in 2021, and she’s been the center of their world ever since. She won’t be part of the ceremony but she's so happy for her parents to be tying the knot. Fionna and Brendan are so excited to begin this next chapter of their lives together, and are so grateful to you for being a part of it.
