The travel page has ferry information! The ferry schedule for Spring 2026 will be linked closer to the wedding date.
The ceremony of a Catholic wedding is a Mass (Catholic Church service). It includes religious music, readings from the Bible, a sermon by a priest related to the readings, the Eucharistic prayer (which culminates in Catholics receiving the Eucharist), and the reciting of various Catholic prayers. In the case of a wedding Mass, there is a section dedicated to the uniting of the bride and groom as one in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony. If you aren't familiar with the service, you can just stand, sit, and kneel following the people around you, and remain in your seat when the congregation lines up for the reception of Communion. If you are not comfortable attending the Mass portion of the wedding, you are more than welcome to just attend the reception. Just RSVP accordingly!
As the ceremony will be held in a Catholic Church, we ask that you dress in modest clothing, covering your midriff and knees, and with some covering for your shoulders (e.g. thick straps or sleeves). The reception will be held inside, but there is the option to go outside, too, and the weather may not be particularly warm, so it will be wise to dress for the weather in that regard. We also recommend that you wear sturdy (not stiletto heel) shoes.
Please email Ellie at elizabethtlande@gmail.com (note the t between elizabeth and lande) with any dietary restrictions you may have. You can also write any dietary restrictions on the RSVP card and send it back to us!
Because the reception is ending at 5, we will just be serving heavy hors d'oeuvres at the reception. Drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will also be provided.
Please RSVP by March 16th to be included in our guest count! If we have not heard from you by then, we will have to assume you are not coming.
