Annie is Brenda’s mom. Brenda believes her mom is “the best mom ever!” Brenda and her mom have always been very close. Brenda says that her mom is a Proverbs 31 woman who is more precious than rubies. She is a virtuous woman of God whom Brenda loves, adores and hopes to be like one day. Brenda believes her mom is the most patient and the wisest woman she knows. Annie taught Brenda to always put God first, pray daily, love unconditionally, be graceful, give to others, always be a lady, and to always, always forgive others. Brenda believes God blessed their family with an angel when He sent them Annie.
Gloria Williams
Mother of the Groom
Gloria is Calvin’s mom. She was born in Cleveland, MS. She was the 2nd born out of 7 siblings. She is the mother of 4 beautiful children (set of twin boys), 7 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. She is loving and kind. She has a strong Christian faith and is a devoted member of World Overcomers Outreach Ministries Church. Gloria was a professional child caregiver for 25 years. She retired in 2018. She enjoys traveling, going to the movies, and spending time with family and friends. She volunteers her time helping those that are less fortunate.
Willie Jones, Jr.
Bride's Escort
Willie, Jr. is Brenda’s oldest brother. He was the first born of 14 children. Willie, Jr. has always looked out for and helped take care of his little brothers and sisters. He worked hard as a young man and was generous enough to share his earnings with his parents to help take care of his many little brothers and sisters. He opened his home to his brothers and sisters if they needed a place to stay when they first moved to Chicago and to the ones who just wanted to visit during summer breaks from school. Brenda awarded Willie, Jr. with the Jones Family Gratitude Award in 2019 because she appreciates all that he has done for her and their family over the years.
LaTosha Sumerall
Maid of Honor
LaTosha is Brenda’s best friend. She is intelligent and has a servant’s heart. They met over 40 years ago when they were in Kindergarten and have been best friends ever since. They went to elementary, junior high and high school together. Their ability to talk about anything and their nonconforming attitudes to fit in with the “in crowd” is what sets them apart and has made their friendship strong over the years. LaTosha and Brenda have always been very supportive of each other and share many of the same values and beliefs.
Carlos Rogers
Best Man
Carlos is Calvin’s friend. They have been friends for over 40 years. They met when they were in elementary school. He is a first-responder. He enjoys “gaming” in his spare time.
Sharon Jones

Sharon is Brenda’s younger sister. They have always had a close relationship. They can communicate with each other without saying a word. Brenda was always watching out for Sharon when they were little girls in school. Sharon was the talkative one between the two of them. She has a great personality and keeps everyone laughing. When they were little girls, Sharon was the cook and Brenda was the one to do the cleaning. Brenda and Sharon share a mutual respect for one another and actually think a lot alike.

LG is Calvin’s friend. They have been friends for over 20 years. They met while they were serving in the United States Navy. They enjoy a lot of the same things and they think alike. LG is a Dallas Cowboys fan.

Monica is Brenda’s friend. They have been friends for over 30 years. Their friendship began when they were in high school together. Monica’s and Brenda’s similar quiet personalities, patience, kindness, love for serving God, and love for serving others has created a strong and lasting friendship. They enjoy talking about the Word of God, praying, and praising God together.

Alecia aka “Lisa” is Brenda’s cousin. They have always been close to each other. They used to run and play together whenever they visited each other as kids. They have always been a source of support and encouragement for one another. Lisa was so excited when Brenda got engaged. She had been praying for God to bless her with a good and Godly man. She checks in from time to time to make sure Brenda is still smiling about getting married to the man of her dreams.
Dimitri Townes

Dimitri is Calvin’s son. He is very smart. He graduated from high school at 16 years old and went to college. He is loquacious. He enjoys the outdoors. He served in The United States Air-force. He followed in his father’s footsteps by serving his country.
Leora Washington

Leora is Brenda’s older sister. They have always had a close relationship. They too can communicate with each other without saying a word. Leora used to keep Brenda with her all of the time when she was younger. Some people in the community and in the church assumed that Leora was Brenda’s mom because of the physical resemblance and because they were always together. Leora has always been a source of support and leadership for Brenda.

Michael is Calvin’s twin brother. They like several of the same things like bike riding, swimming, dogs, and cars. He is 3 minutes older than Calvin. He is a little more talkative than Calvin. He enjoys “gaming” in his spare time. Like Calvin, Michael is kind and goes out of his way to help others.

Chrissy is Brenda’s great-great niece. She is smart, full of personality and full of energy. Chrissy is Brenda’s little diamond who is learning to “shine”.

Chase is Brenda’s youngest nephew. They used to play with Mickey Mouse and robots together when he was younger. Chase is the little pastor in the family. There is a special anointing on his life. He loves to lead the family in prayer. He has a genuine heart of gold! Chase truly loves the Lord and his family! Brenda and Calvin trust Chase to keep the rings secure and to keep the guests on their best behavior at the wedding and reception.

Chavon is Brenda’s niece. Brenda used to babysit her during the summertime when she was a little girl. Chavon was always a sweet, quiet child and didn’t give Brenda any problems. Brenda used to teach Chavon to sing one of her favorite gospel songs “Fully Committed” when she was babysitting her. They still laugh about that today. Brenda is proud of the woman Chavon has become

Davonica is Brenda’s niece. Brenda used to babysit and comb her hair when she was a little girl. Davonica is sweet, quiet and somewhat shy but she will fight you if you mess with her family. Davonica is known as “The Model” and can “rip the runway” with the best of the supermodels. Brenda is proud of the woman she has become.

Dominique is Brenda’s niece. Brenda used to babysit Dominique during the summertime when she was a little girl too. Dominique was more talkative than her cousins but she was always a sweet and mannerable little girl when she was with Brenda. Brenda used to teach Dominique to sing one of her favorite gospel songs “Fully Committed” when she was babysitting her too. Dominique is a little younger so does not remember this as much as her cousin Chavon does. Dominique has a smile that brightens any room. Brenda is proud of the woman Dominique has become.

Maliya is Brenda’s great-niece. She is smart, witty and very helpful. Although she is one of the youngest members of the wedding party, she was the first one to get on the internet to find out what her duties are in the wedding. Maliya advised her grandma and Brenda that she already knows what to do. She printed a copy of her duties and is ready to fulfill them. She is ahead of her time!

Ryan is Brenda’s nephew. He is very smart and athletic. He is soft-spoken and mannerable. Ryan speaks a foreign language that most people wouldn’t even try to learn. He speaks Turkish. Ryan spent a lot of time with Brenda when he was growing up. Brenda is proud of the young man he has become.

Brandon is Brenda’s nephew. He too is smart, soft-spoken and mannerable. He is always smiling and laughing and always willing to help somebody else. Brandon is a hardworking young man. Brenda is proud of the young man he has become.

Brittney is Brenda’s daughter. Brenda affectionately refers to Brittney as “mom’s babe”. Brittney is beautiful, smart, sweet, soft-spoken, generous, kind, adventurous and fiesty all at the same time. You almost never see one of them without seeing the other. They have been inseparable since Brittney’s birth. Brenda and Brittney know each other like the back of their own hands. They can finish each other’s sentences. They have an unconditional love and mutual respect for each other. Calvin asked Brittney if he could marry her mom before he asked Brenda to marry him. He knew he had to win Brittney over and get her approval first before Brenda would say “yes” to being his bride.
