Good afternoon to our wonderful guests, With just under 4 weeks before our wedding, we have some sad and shocking news about the consequences of the recent cyclone. Our venue, Camp Wasewagan, is destroyed. Cabins collapsed, trees were uprooted... it's awful. The owners, Bonnie and Crazzy (yes, Crazzy, lol), are devastated and raising funds to rebuild the beautiful space we were going to share together. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR US?
NEW LOCATION: A Backyard wedding at the home of Jordan's parents in Granada Hills! (Unless you are able to help us secure some doper venue in the next 72 hours, that is!) WHAT TO EXPECT: - Backyard ceremony at 4:30 - Cocktail hour following - Dinner, drinks and dancing beginning around 6! - photo booth - games - the night of our lives!
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
We have both been astounded and moved by the generosity of people who learned about what happened and offered to help how they could, including help with lodging, catering, and more. A big piece of this whole 'Camp Grizzlecreek' thing is building community through tenacious and loving creativity, so if you're inclined and able to pitch in, we're thrilled to consider any contributions. We can offer a little direction with some remaining needs and wants: Needs: - a good rental company for tables, linens, chairs, etc. - dance floor - lighting Wants: - OTHER VENUE? (Until Aug 30) We're entertaining options for the event space, but just need to get the ball rolling.
