Our story of how we got here is, at its core, one of not walking away from love. It started with a Zoom date during the pandemic. PJs, wine, steak, and talking late into the night. Lots of quiet couch hangs later, the world started opening up, so naturally, we ditched it for the woods... and there was no turning back. Sometimes it took a 2,000 piece Star Wars puzzle and spiked cider. Sometimes it took a little getaway to a cabin with big trees and a creek. Sometimes it took sticking out a conversation that felt dumb until it didn't. At every step though, it took a lot of love, and now that's what we have to give. We are so excited to invite you into this special pocket where our busy lives can slow down for a weekend to celebrate love, connection, and community. See you in September at Camp Wasewagan, which we are branding Camp GRIZZLECREEK for our special weekend! (More on that, it's a thing, you'll love it.)
For me, our story began in October of 2020, the weekend I celebrated my 33rd birthday. A few swipes and one match later I connected with Jordan. By the end of the week we'd scheduled our first date. We planned to cook steak dinners, and drink some wine over Zoom. I wore pajamas and ate in bed. He wore a button down shirt and ate at his table. That late night on Zoom was full of laughter and this incredible spark. A spark that was tended to over many late night conversations, quiet weekends in the woods, Lego building sessions, axe throwing and dancing our asses off together. Most often times looking spastic. That spark has become so much more than either of us every thought possible. Our spark turned into a truly beautiful and wonderful relationship. A relationship, that began with a "spark", but who's foundation is built around creating space for each other and our individual selves. A space to feel. The space to sit and talk through the really hard stuff that life throws your way. A foundation of love, that we chose every single day to continue to build. What a vision this has led to! We can't wait to share a few "pockets" of our love, and the vision we've created with all of you. We hope you'll join us in some of the ways we love expressing and celebrating our love. Maybe you'll prepare an expression of love through poetry at our Expressions Of Love and Life Campfire. perhaps you'll simply slow down and connect with nature with us. However you choose to celebrate with us, we couldn't be happier.
