Walk Along Scenic Road - (you can also drive Scenic Road). The walking path that goes along Scenic Road starts at 8th Avenue and ends at Martin Way. Plenty of stairways lead to the beach. Carmel beach is also a great place to watch the sunset.

Just a few miles south of Carmel-by-the-sea. Enjoy the easy coastal hiking trails with incredible views. Hike the Sea Lion Point Trail to see barking sea lions or explore China Cove. Cypress Grove Trail is also popular.
There are more than 15 wine tasting rooms in Carmel. Also, Folktale Winery & Vineyard in Carmel Valley is a 15 minute drive.

Big Sur is a 45 minute drive over the famous Bixby Bridge.
