Question

What do I wear?

Answer

This is a theme wedding at a venue where there are paid actors all around in costumes. The bride and groom will be in costumes the whole day and costumes for our guests are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED! Anything from casual outfits to more splendid royalty. Can be silly, can be fun, can be an original character. Fairies, pirates, knights, elves, wenches, the town drunk. Let your imagination run wild! We want you to have fun with this and play along with us! Costumes are not required, though! If you choose to not dress up, please dress casually. No ties, no high heels, nothing fancy. We would rather you in jean shorts and a t-shirt if nothing else. It will be HOT, mid-summer in Colorado and it will be outside in the dirt. Dress for the weather/venue.

Question

Do I have to pay to get in?

Answer

No you do not. All guests of the wedding get free admission to the festival from 10am - close (6pm). However, you must pick up a ticket from one of us in order to gain access. We will have wedding helpers at the front gate from 9:30 am - 10:30am handing out your tickets. You can also get your ticket the day before the wedding if you decide to come to the Saturday Social Hour party.

Question

I've never been to the renaissance festival, what can I expect?

Answer

Festival website: https://coloradorenaissance.com/ This is a public event where there are paid actors walking around and interacting with guests. Here are a few pointers: - Bring CASH. Many places inside of the festival are cash only. You do not want to spend the day in line for the ATM, trust us. - It is outdoors on the side of the mountain. It will be open rain or shine. The ground is dirt and is at an angle and not level. Be cautious when walking, be prepared with sunscreen, and HYDRATE! - No outside food or beverage is permitted - There are tons of lives shows happening all day. From comedy to magic to stunt-work, to music. When not enjoying the wedding ceremony, frolic through the festival grounds! - There also tons of gift shops and costume shops around. Come early if you want to rent a costume

Question

Where do I leave my gift?

Answer

We highly suggest NOT bringing gifts to the wedding and instead using our registry on this website. If you would still like to bring gifts, we will have an area inside of the Royal Gardens.

For all the days along the way
