We're getting married!

It all started in 2003 when Gerald and Breanne were 16 years old attending the same High School. They had a few classes together forming a fast friendship. They got together so well that when she got into some shenanigans that resulted in her hiding from the police behind a dumpster in the middle of the night, she called Gerald instead of her at the time boyfriend. What Breanne did not know was Gerald kept a secret crush on her but knowing her taken status he ignored his deeper feelings and accepted her friendship. Sadly, after High School they drifted apart as many do and only saw each other a few times over the years. Fast forward to the dark COVID times... Breanne looking for a change decided she would move to Salt Lake City (SLC), Utah. Before moving she reached out to Gerald. They promptly fell right back into their old friendship, growing closer over the next few weeks as her move loomed. Just before she moved Breanne realized she had feelings for Gerald and confessed them to him. He in return confessed his long-time crush on her. At this point Breanne wanted to start a relationship with Gerald but her move was just around the corner, so they decided to remain friends. However, even after she moved Breanne and Gerald kept talking, video chatting every night for at least an hour. Over the course of 6 months, they missed only a handful of nights. They officially started dating May 27, 2021. Breanne and Gerald travelled back and forth to see each other that whole summer. They both worked from home so they could stay an extended period in each other’s company. Gerald would show her the family cabin and Breanne would treat him to all the wonders of SLC. When it came time for Gerald to find a new place to rent, he took the leap on Halloween 2021, and he moved down to be closer with her. While many people criticized Gerald's decision to move out of state for a girl and people criticized Breanne's lack of interest in exploring Utah boys, Gerald and Breanne were on cloud nine being only 20 minutes away from each other. Their relationship advanced another the next step on January 26, 2022, when they both said, “I Love you”. Shortly after they moved in together on March 24, 2022, got their first animal in May, adding Waffles to Geralds cat, Luffy and their family began to grow. Cut to November 23, 2023, they now had a third animal in the family, a cat called Kiwi. On Thanksgiving Day, Gerald purposed to Breanne in Puyallup, WA while visiting family. Gerald gave the sweetest speech and in addition to a gorgeous ring, Gerald presented Breanne with beautiful roses, and she excitedly said "YES"! Shortly after, Breanne and Gerald decided to move back to Washington to be closer to family and to have their wedding day at the Scherer cabin but... not before adding one more animal to the family. Breanne and Gerald currently have four animals, two dogs, Chicken and Waffles, and two cats, Luffy and Kiwi who all mean the world to them. Breanne and Gerald are so grateful to everyone that has been there for them and their relationship and are so excited to see what the next chapter in their lives bring!
