Things To Do

There's a ton of good food in Portland and fun things to do! We've put together a list of some of our faves. Food is at the top of the list and not-food is at the bottom. Click "view" to go straight to the website and check out the prices. We're so excited for you to come visit!

Gabbiano's

5411 Northeast 30th Avenue, Portland, OR 97211

Delicious family-style Italian food. Birthday favorite for both August and Bre!

¿Por Qué No?

4635 Southeast Hawthorne Boulevard, Portland, OR 97215

Super good taco spot with excellent vibes. There are two, the one on Hawthorne is probably closer to you!

Horse Brass Pub

4534 Southeast Belmont Street, Portland, OR 97215

Classic Portland. Fabulous fish-n-chips!

Big's Chicken

4606 Northeast Glisan Street, Portland, OR 97213

Go get yourself a Big Dirty.

PDX Sliders Division St

3111 Southeast Division Street, Portland, OR 97202

Scrumptious little burgers.

Janken

250 Northwest 13th Avenue, Portland, OR 97209

Just in case you want to drop a significant amount of money on some SERIOUSLY good food.

Screen Door Eastside

2337 East Burnside Street, Portland, OR 97214

Famous chicken n' waffles, great Southern brunch!

Sizzle Pie

4144 Northeast Sandy Boulevard, Portland, OR 97212

New York style pizza by the slice with a hefty dash of heavy metal. Great choice if you're thirsting for some eau de Portland.

Shake Shack West End Portland

1016 West Burnside Street, Portland, OR 97209

Low-key fast food vibes with really good food!

Doe Donuts + Ice Cream

4110 Northeast Sandy Boulevard, Portland, OR 97212

Best donuts. You could check out Voodoo, but honestly, Doe is better. And cooler. And more interesting. If you go, try out the Portland Fog!

Portland Japanese Garden

611 Southwest Kingston Avenue, Portland, OR 97205

Really gorgeous. Definitely worth a visit. There's also a spectacular (and free) rose garden right across the street!

Oregon Zoo

4001 Southwest Canyon Road, Portland, OR 97221

We have a pretty nice zoo. We always love to hear the "keeper talks" and learn about how the animals are cared for and some of their backstories.

OMSI

1945 Southeast Water Avenue, Portland, OR 97214

Definitely more kid-oriented, which is either awesome or a little overstimulating/underwhelming, depending on your age.

Hopscotch Portland

1020 Southeast 10th Avenue, Portland, OR 97214

This is hard to explain...there's a giant ball pit and a lot of other large-scale interactive art installations.

Portland Art Museum

1219 Southwest Park Avenue, Portland, OR 97205

Lots to look at and appreciate in our art museum, probably more than you could fit in a single visit.
