MXP: Milano-Malpensa Airport
The best airport to fly into for the wedding is Milan Malpensa (MXP). It's the largest international airport in the area and offers the most convenient access to Lake Como. From MXP, you’ll have several transportation options — including trains, rental cars, or private transfers to get to Lake Como. Lake Como is about 1-1.5 hour train ride/car ride from Milan.

Reaching Lake Como by train is the most popular way to travel to Lake Como. To reach Como from Milan-Malpensa Airport by train, proceed as follows: Take the Malpensa Express (departing from both terminals) to Milan and get off at Saronno (after about 20 minutes). At Saronno train station, take the train to Como Lago (40 minutes). Private Car Transfer

There are a number of private chauffeur services that can be hired for transport to and from the Milan airport as well as to get around the Lake Como area. The price for a one way transfer from the Milan airport to Como is approximately €110 for a 4 passenger car. Most hotels also offer airport transfer services. Please note that ride sharing apps are limited in Lake Como and apps such as Uber are not available. Taxis are available from the Milan airport to get into Lake Como for around €150 - €180.
