Flight
The best airport to fly into for the wedding is Milan Malpensa (MXP). It's the largest international airport in the area and offers the most convenient access to Lake Como. From MXP, you’ll have several transportation options — including trains, rental cars, or private transfers to get to Lake Como. Lake Como is about 1-1.5 hour train ride/car ride from Milan.
Train
Reaching Lake Como by train is the most popular way to travel to Lake Como. To reach Como from Milan-Malpensa Airport by train, proceed as follows: Take the Malpensa Express (departing from both terminals) to Milan and get off at Saronno (after about 20 minutes). At Saronno train station, take the train to Como Lago (40 minutes).
