The Bride and Groom
Alec and Bre met in 7th grade at the end-of-year spring fling event. They had both moved to Pullman, Washington that year (Bre from Mukilteo WA, Alec from Nacogdoches TX). They were friends-of-friends for the first few years. They became a couple their sophomore year at Pullman High School. They attended a few homecomings and a prom together. When they graduated, Bre stayed in Pullman to attend Washington State University and major in Zoology while Alec moved across the state to attend Olympic College and learn web development. The distance was hard, but Alec would make the 6 hour drive as often as he could and Bre would fly over for weekends here and there. After Bre graduated, she moved into an apartment with Alec in Bremerton, Washington. Bre and Alec spent the next years building their careers and relationship. Alec graduated with a degree in web development and gained working experience in IT, most currently working at the Puyallup Tribal Health Authority as an IT specialist while Bre has worked at Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium as a Zoological Aide with intermittent jobs in pet retail, veterinary assistance, and youth coaching as well. Bre and Alec took a big step in 2020 and adopted a whippet mix that they named Mellie. On September 14th, 2024, they took an even bigger step and Alec proposed to Bre in the south of France. And here we are!!
The Morton Girls

While attending Washington State University, Bre, Laura, Becka, Anna, and Kelsey lived together in a townhouse on Morton street. And thus, the Morton girls were created. They have kept their friendships strong ever since, and plan to keep it that way forever.
Laura
Maid of Honor
Bre and Laura first became friends sitting on the bus together for sports when Bre moved to Pullman in 7th grade. They started as Bus Buddies and became best friends and it’s been that way all through highschool, college at WSU, and “adult” life. Laura is a journalist in Boise, Idaho.
Anna
Bridesmaid
Anna was the first new friend that Bre made when starting college at WSU when they shared a dorm suite freshman year. They bonded over soccer, dancing, school stress, and thousands of goofy conversations. Anna is an occupational therapist in Coupeville, Washington.
Becka
Bridesmaid
Bre was lucky to find a friend in Becka in her freshman year dorm suite at WSU. Bre can always count on Becka for a kind word of support and inspiring thoughtfulness. She also gives great hugs! After several years abroad in the UK after college, Becka now lives in Richland, WA and is a hydrogeologist.
Kelsey
Bridesmaid
Kelsey is childhood best friends with other bridesmaid, Anna, but did not arrive at WSU (or into Bre’s life) until sophomore year. Kelsey and Bre had both been told that they would get along with each other, so naturally they were skeptical. However, they soon became tall peas in a pod. Kelsey and Bre can often be found snuggling or giggling and they wouldn’t want it any other way. Kelsey is a construction company owner in Coupeville, WA.
Jarrett and Cort
Groomsmen + Brothers
Jarrett and Cort are Alec’s two younger brothers. Jarrett is 4 years younger than Alec and Cort is 5 years younger. There was a lot of roughhousing growing up in a house of boys. Kim, Alec’s mom, got them settled down by having each son take classical music lessons. Each of them still have a love and a talent of music to this day and “jam” together when they visit. Now, Jarrett is in school for music production and Cort works several different jobs in sports broadcasting and production. Both of them currently live in Norman, Oklahoma.
Collin and Dimitri
Groomsmen
Given that Alec and Bre are “highschool sweethearts”, it’s only fitting that two of Alec’s groomsmen are friends from high school! Collin and Dimitri (aka “D”) share the same taste in music with Alec and often catch shows in Seattle together. D has worked in several breweries, brewing and serving, in the Seattle area. Collin is a firefighter in the Lakewood area.
