Hotel Area Suggestions
West Beach is the best location for the weekend if you would like to walk. It is close to the venue, beach, harbor and wharf as well as shopping and dining on State Street and in the Funk Zone. The East Beach area is also close to the venue. It is a bit farther away from downtown and is quieter. Lower State area is another fine choice if you’d prefer to be even closer to the downtown action. Some hotels in this area may be far enough away from the venue that you will want an Uber.

Other Hotel Suggestions
If you prioritize a shortest possible walk to the event (5min) then The Hilton and Hotel Californian are a good bet. Lower priced options we suggest are: Avania Inn, West Beach Inn, Inn by the Harbor and The Franciscan. Mid Tier options we suggest are: Pacific Crest Hotel, Lavender by the Sea, and Santa Barbara Inn. Airbnb’s and other short term rentals are an option, we just warn you that quantity in Santa Barbara is low due to regulation. If you think this could be a good option for you, we suggest looking into it early.

Flight
Santa Barbara Airport (SBA)
This is the closest and easiest airport to fly into. It is just a 15 minute drive from the venue! Taxis can be found just outside the airport exit. Rideshares are also available to get you downtown.

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)
LAX is about a 2 hour drive from Santa Barbara depending on traffic. It often has cheaper flights. If you do travel into LAX and do not want to get a rental car, check out the Santa Barbara Airbus. It does daily trips back and forth from LAX.
