Claytor Lake State Park
Claytor Lake has a nice trail system for walking or running. There is also lake access for swimming, fishing, paddleboarding, or other activities!
Radford Riverway Trail
Radford has a cute downtown area with a few shops and coffee spots, as well as the riverway trail along the New River. All walkable from the Highlander Radford Hotel.
Mount Rogers
Hiking, running, biking, you name it! This is a little further (about 1 hour from Dublin), but worth the trek.
McAfee Knob
An iconic Virginia hike!
Downtown Roanoke
For those more interested in a big city trek, Roanoke is about 45 minutes from Dublin and offers many restaurants, shops, museums, and other activities. This is also an option for a place to stay if you're up for a longer drive.
Lexington, VA
Couldn't NOT mention Lexington. About 90 minutes away from Dublin, Lexington is forever one of Lainey's favorite spots (and now Braxton's too). Take yourself on a walking tour of Washington & Lee with LexCo coffee in hand, stop at Taps for a burger, and follow it up with a Pure Eats milkshake or donut.
