FAQs

Question

Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail in an RSVP card?

Answer

We invite you to RSVP online here or by mailing in the RSVP card sent with the invitation.

Question

Will I be attending the ceremony or just the reception?

Answer

We are so excited to celebrate with the people we love most! Our private ceremony will begin at 4:00 PM, followed by a reception at 5:00 PM. Due to space and logistics, we’ve planned for a more intimate ceremony with close family and friends, and a larger reception where we can dance, laugh, and celebrate with everyone we love the most! Please refer to your invitation for your specific details—some guests are invited to both the ceremony and reception, while others are invited to join us at the reception. No matter when you join us, we’re so grateful to have you be part of our day!

Question

What date should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP as soon as possible or by September 1st 2025 at the latest!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

We’ve decided to keep our celebration alcohol-free so everyone can enjoy the evening safely and fully - so please no outside alcohol as our venue has strict rules on this! There will be a variety of refreshing beverages, and plenty of tasty treats to enjoy instead.

Question

Is there parking available near your wedding venue?

Answer

There is parking spaces in their immediate parking lot, 60 additional spaces in an adjoining lot, and two overflow lots. Additional signage will be near Brightside. Vehicles can be left in the immediate parking lot, as long as they are removed by noon the next day. Be sure not to leave cars in any of the adjoining overflow lots. The Brightside also assumes no liability for cars left in the main parking lot or neighboring lots.

Question

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Not to worry! Our wedding will be indoors. There will be a patio with games and entertainments for those who are wanting some fresh air.

Question

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?

Answer

Out-of-town guests will need to arrange accommodations, we have a list of recommendations in the "Hotels" tab of our site up above.

Question

Will there be a shuttle to and/or from the hotel(s)?

Answer

There will not be a shuttle. We recommend utilizing uber or lyft for any transportation needs, or even carpooling with those you know will be attending as well! Please note on-site parking will be available as well.

Question

Could you give me a link to your wedding registry?

Answer

We’ve got enough toasters and towels to last a lifetime—so instead of a traditional registry, we’re dreaming a little bigger! If you’d like to gift us something, we’ve created two special funds: one for our honeymoon adventures and another to help us save for our very first house. You can find them both under the "Registry" tab. Thanks for helping us kick off married life in the best way possible! 💛🏡🌴

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones, but to keep our celebration intimate, we are only inviting those listed on the invitation and children who are part of the wedding party. Thank you for understanding, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Question

What is the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

We want you to be comfortable at our wedding! The dress code is Dressy Casual attire.

Question

What does "Dressy Casual" mean?

Answer

Think polished but comfortable! For men, dress slacks or chinos with a button-down shirt (a tie or jacket is optional but welcome). For women, a nice dress, skirt, or dressy pants with a blouse. No need for formal gowns or suits, but feel free to add a little flair if you'd like! We want you to feel like YOU!

Question

What is the weather like in the area?

Answer

Welcome to Ohio! You truly never know what the weather will be, genuinely. We recommend bringing a jacket for outside patio activities just in case.

Question

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

If "and guest" or your plus-one's name is written on your wedding invitation, you can bring someone. Due to limited space, please do not bring an extra guest if not listed on your invitation.
