FAQs

Question

Could you give me a link to your wedding registry?

Answer

We’ve got enough toasters and towels to last a lifetime—so instead of a traditional registry, we’re dreaming a little bigger! If you’d like to gift us something, we’ve created two special funds: one for our honeymoon adventures and another to help us save for our very first house. You can find them both under the "Registry" tab. Thanks for helping us kick off married life in the best way possible! 💛🏡🌴

Question

Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail in an RSVP card?

Answer

We invite you to RSVP online here or by texting Braxton & Ally at (937) 581-4389, please let us know who you are in case we do not have your number saved!

Question

What date should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP as soon as possible or by September 1st 2025 at the latest!

Question

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

If "and guest" or your plus-one's name is written on your wedding invitation, you can bring someone. Due to limited space, please do not bring an extra guest if not listed on your invitation.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones, but to keep our celebration intimate, we are only inviting those listed on the invitation and children who are part of the wedding party. Thank you for understanding, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

No open bar here — we’re keeping things dry! But don’t worry, you won’t be thirsty or missing out. We’ve got a coffee truck to keep you buzzing and a food truck to keep you fueled. Plus, our grandmas will be tearing up the dance floor all night—proving you don’t need a cocktail to show off those legendary moves!

Question

Can I bring my own alcohol to the wedding?

Answer

We love your excitement to celebrate with us! However, our venue has a strict “no outside alcohol” policy, and since we’re having a dry wedding, we kindly ask that no alcohol be brought on-site. Thanks so much for understanding and helping us make this day fun, safe, and enjoyable for everyone!

Question

What is the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

We want you to be comfortable at our wedding! The dress code is Dressy Casual attire.

Question

What does "Dressy Casual" mean?

Answer

Think polished but comfortable! For men, dress slacks or chinos with a button-down shirt (a tie or jacket is optional but welcome). For women, a nice dress, skirt, or dressy pants with a blouse. No need for formal gowns or suits, but feel free to add a little flair if you'd like! We want you to feel like YOU!

Question

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?

Answer

Out-of-town guests will need to arrange accommodations, we have a list of recommendations in the "Hotels" tab of our site up above.

Question

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both our ceremony and reception will be indoors — the ceremony will be on the second floor of The Brightside, and the reception will be downstairs on the first floor. We’ll also have some fun games and space to mingle out on the patio (weather permitting), so feel free to step outside and enjoy the fall air. Bonus points if you dominate in cornhole.

Question

What kind of food will be served?

Answer

We’re all about good eats and good vibes (coming from two foodies)! Weather permitting, we’ll be serving up delicious bites from a food truck right on the patio. If the weather decides to throw a tantrum, no worries — we’ll have a buffet inside to keep everyone happily fed and ready to dance the night away.

Question

What is the weather like in the area?

Answer

Ah, the great mystery of Ohio weather. Will it be sunny and crisp? Will it snow? Will a confused thunderstorm roll through just to say hi? Who knows! It's October in Dayton — your guess is as good as ours. We recommend bringing sunglasses, an umbrella, and maybe a parka... just in case. Either way, love will be in the air (along with possibly falling leaves, rain, or pumpkin spice-scented fog)

Question

Is there parking available near your wedding venue?

Answer

There is parking spaces in their immediate parking lot, 60 additional spaces in an adjoining lot, and two overflow lots. Additional signage will be near Brightside. Vehicles can be left in the immediate parking lot, as long as they are removed by noon the next day. Be sure not to leave cars in any of the adjoining overflow lots. The Brightside also assumes no liability for cars left in the main parking lot or neighboring lots.

Question

Will there be a shuttle to and/or from the hotel(s)?

Answer

There will not be a shuttle. We recommend utilizing uber or lyft for any transportation needs, or even carpooling with those you know will be attending as well! Please note on-site parking will be available as well.
