Give yourself plenty of time to apply for a passport if you don't have one or if it has expired. Processing times can take up to 12 weeks.

If you have to cross the MEX-US Border

Cross from the US to Mexico through the San Ysidro port of entry. Google or Apple maps should give you the fastest way, but make sure you select high-ways only or you will be driving through some unpaved roads. If you don’t have a phone plan that works in Mexico, I recommend setting directions before you leave the US. Even if your phone doesn’t work in Mexico, as long as you set Google Map directions before you leave (and don’t exit out), they should work and guide you to your hotel. On your way back, give yourself PLENTY of time to cross from Mexico to the US. It can take more than 5 hours to cross so please plan accordingly. Flight

San Diego

This is the recommended airport to fly in and out of, however Tijuana, MX is also an option. We recommend flying in at least the day before you plan to go down to the Valle. Look at land transportation options on how to get Valle de Guadalupe after you land. IMPORTANT: Make sure you're flights get you in during the daytime. Late night flights, you'll be staying in San Diego for that night. If you plan to come back from the Valle Monday and fly home that evening, please book your flight after 2 pm to account for border crossing wait times. Plan on leaving Guadalupe Valley 6-7 hours before your flight boards if you're taking a shuttle or driving. The wait time at the border can be up to 5 hours and you will need a passport.
