As far as soulmates go, Amanda was my first. In the beginning we didn't always get along. I was the weird girly girl from out of town and she was the tomboy everyone loved. Still, we had a connection. She had her first child, my niece Jamie, our senior year. It was a difficult time, and we stuck together through it all. Almost 10 years later, she is my person. When the world feels wrong, she is my right side up. I am so honored to have her by my side on this day of celebration.

Kristy is my work wife. She is responsible for teaching me everything I know; not only about being a stylists but about being an independent resilient woman. Our story started three years ago. I had an interview with Kristy to be an assistant. The night before I had gone catfish fishing with friends, taken the fish home to gut, and threw them in the freezer to bring to my friend the next day. I realized I didn't want to leave the fish in the hot car in June, so I brought it in my bag. As the interview began, I explained that I had frozen fish in my bag and that if it smelled, it wasn't me! Kristy said that is when she knew I was hired. She didn't know that three years later we would be working side by side, her being one of my closest friends.

Sweet baby Madi and I met working at Starbucks. She was a sweet girl I didn't quite get to know. That was until we shared stories of our fur babies! She and I would swap stories and show pictures. Eventually she came in to get her hair done at the salon. We started her crazy colored hair journey and our crazy friendship. From buying her first legal drink, to going with her to get her nose pierced, to cooking and watching Big Brother all summer; this chick is my ride or die!

Jordan and I worked at Starbucks together, but were on opposite shifts. I didn't get to know her until I started doing her hair. I loved her drive and work ethic. She was another strong driven woman I knew I wanted in my circle! She is my music babe. Going to concerts with her is never a dull time. With our brief time as roommates we grew even closer and I'm so happy to have her in my life!
