Like any true love story in 2018, Branley and I met through a dating app. After a few days of communicating through Snapchat, he made it clear he wanted a date and we planned to go for coffee and a movie the next day. The ice was broken instantly; within an hour of the date we were already talking passionately about uncomfortable topics. I knew he was special when we were laughing the loudest in a theater full of kids watching Despicable Me. I fell in love with him that day and have everyday since!

We were wrapping up an amazing trip in Seattle where we spent time with family and friends. We were back at the airport getting ready to fly home. I booked the 1AM flight on accident and so it was extremely late and we were beat to say the least. I had butterflies in my stomach as soon as we made it through security because I felt as if this would be the perfect place I would want to ask. I wanted us to have the feeling of every time we flew into this airport we could say “this is where it happened” we sat down at our gate and about 30 minutes passed until I was able to work up enough courage and strength. A flight just boarded so I thought “it’s just us two; now is the time.” I started by asking what her favorite part of the trip was, she answered; “food” and we small talked until the point where I said, “maybe this could be a favorite part...” I proceeded to tell her how special she was and how loved she made me feel. I got on a knee in the middle of gate D8 and asked her to marry me. Our trip couldn’t have ended any better; she said yes.
