Flight
There are three close airports. San Jose Mineta Airport is the closest and very convenient. It's about 15-20 minutes from the venue. The other two airports San Francisco SFO and Oakland are possibilities, especially if you want more options for those coming from places with smaller airports. They are both about 45 minutes away. SFO does connect to Caltrain, which lets off in Mountain View, but it's a bit of a trek from the airport to the train station with your luggage.
Rental Car
If you're staying for any longer than a day or two, you'll either need a car, connect with other guests for rides or get cozy with UBER or LYFT. We're in the burbs.
House Or Rental
If you are staying a few days, you can reserve an air bnb for the convenience of having a kitchen and a little more space. Hotels in this area tend to be less expensive on weekends than during the week. You can search within 10 miles of Mountain View. The area is overall safe, so anything listed with be fine.
Hotel
The venue recommends this hotel. It's the closest to the venue and they offer a shuttle to and from. Might be a good option for people not staying long and don't want to rent a car. One thing to know is the night of the wedding there will be a concert at a venue close by, so there may be traffic and noise until 11:00 or so. Any Jason Aldean fans? You can grab tickets and head over after the wedding! Otherwise, there are a mix of higher end and cheaper hotels on your favorite travel website. Some of the lower priced ones will be a bit of a dive, so I recommend reading reviews carefully.
