Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Madelyn Brandt and David Ramsey
Looking for something to do on the wedding weekend? We're excited to share some of our favorite places in our new home of Peoria, IL.

Wildlife Prairie Park

3826 North Taylor Road, Hanna City, IL 61536

This 1,800-acre zoological park is home to more than 180 animals native to the area, including bison, black bears, cougars, elk and wolves!Take a train through the park, hike, fish, kayak, bike, play disc golf or laser tag.

Grandview Drive

Grandview Drive, Peoria, IL

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Grandview Drive is a two and a half mile scenic road with adjacent park areas through Peoria and Peoria Heights, Illinois. Take in the sweeping views of the Illinois River valley and all the historic homes!

Peoria Riverfront Museum

222 Southwest Washington Street, Peoria, IL 61602

Be sure to check out what exhibits are showing, what movies are playing on the Giant Screen Theater and the beautiful Planetarium shows at the Riverfront Museum! A fun way to spend the afternoon downtown.

Leaves 'n Beans Coffee

4800 North Prospect Road, Peoria Heights, IL 61616

This is one of our favorite local coffee shops - and where Maddy did a lot of homework in college! Located in a historic house, this coffee shop roasts their own beans (with many different flavors), has a nice tea selection and lots of fun specialty drinks. They also have breakfast and lunch options.

One World

1245 West Main Street, Peoria, IL 61606

A Peoria classic, this yummy casual restaurant has great brunch and lunch options. We recommend the coffees, cocktails, pizzas and spinach artichoke dip! Really everything is delicious!
