Please RSVP by September 19th, 2026 at the latest - feel free to RSVP earlier if you would like!
Yes, we are having a kid friendly wedding! Kids who are on the invitation are welcome at the bonfire, ceremony and reception. We will have a few activity packs available at the reception for the kiddos. The upstairs loft will be designated as a space for kids to play. Please supervise young kids at all times (lots of stairs around!)
We are having an outdoor ceremony and an indoor / outdoor reception. The Lodge where we are having the reception has an indoor space for dinner and dancing, a covered porch and outdoor fire pit area. In case of harsh weather conditions, the ceremony will also take place inside of the Lodge. To note: the Lodge has heating and ceiling fans but no air conditioning. Please dress for the weather!
Yes, there is a small parking lot by the Lodge and a larger parking lot down the hill by the ceremony space. There is a trail leading up from the ceremony space to the Lodge (steep!) or feel free to drive up the hill. If you need support getting from the ceremony space to the Lodge for the reception, please let one of the members of the bridal party know and they would be happy to drive you up to the Lodge!
Weather in central Illinois can be very unpredictable but averages seem to be high of upper 70s during the day with dips into the low 40s at night. We suggest dressing in layers to cover your bases!
We went with dressy casual as we want the dress code to reflect both the setting and the formality of the event - a wedding at a campground! What is most important is that you are comfortable and feel good in whatever you are wearing! We are not picky about what our guests wear but for those who would like a little more guidance we suggest maxi or midi dresses, jumpsuits, skirts with blouses, dress shirts or nice sweaters with slacks, blazers or sport coats. Our bridesmaids will be wearing dusty pink dresses and groomsmen will be wearing brown suits. We suggest warm fall colors and jewel tones. Please make sure to wear layers, dress for the weather and wear comfy shoes! There will be a coat rack available at the Lodge for guest use.
Yes there will be a shuttle from the Hampton Inn where we have our hotel block to the wedding venue. Stay tuned for the scheduled shuttle times! There is also ample, free parking available at both locations.
Yes! Camp Wokanda is a public campground and we have only reserved the Lodge and the ceremony space called Walnut Grove for the weekend. There will be another (larger) wedding in the dining hall just down the road and we know there will be Scouts camping across the grounds that weekend. We will try to have clear signage so you know you are in the right place!
Yes, we will have a bartender and open bar with red and white wine, domestic and craft beers, hard seltzers and champagne. Our venue contract states no hard liquor is allowed.
We are so excited to celebrate with you! If you would like to honor us with a gift, we are registered through Zola.com right here on this website through the Registry tab.
