Question

Your wedding is Lord of the Rings themed? What the heck does that mean?!

Answer

We are both huge lovers of The Lord of the Rings and always envisioned the world of Middle-Earth being a part of our wedding. If you've never seen the movies or read the books, not to worry; you won't feel out of place...but now would certainly be the perfect time to do so! ;)

Question

Do I need to be vaccinated against Covid-19 to attend?

Answer

Yes - we are so grateful to have the opportunity to celebrate with our loved ones, and in order to provide a safe and comfortable environment, we kindly request all attending guests be fully vaccinated.

Question

When do we need to RSVP by?

Answer

The favour of your reply is requested by May 1st. Please respond through the RSVP page on this website.

Question

Where can I stay overnight and is transportation to the venue provided?

Answer

We have a hotel block with a discounted rate available at the Best Western Plus in Welland. A complimentary shuttle will also be available to bring guests staying at the hotel to and from the venue. Visit our "Travel & Accommodation" page for more details on the hotel and shuttle.

Question

Where can I park?

Answer

If you are driving to the venue, there is plenty of free parking onsite.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, the wedding ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors, but the reception will be indoors in the beautiful Kehoe & Kin barn. In case of rain, the ceremony and cocktail hour will be moved inside.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code is dressy casual. Not too casual and not too formal - we want our guests to feel classy but comfortable! Keep in mind that the venue is partially outdoors on a grassy lawn (see the next question re: shoe dos and don'ts). Some suggestions on what to wear are: - Summery dresses - Fun jumpsuits - A blazer/sport coat/dress shirt with chinos or slacks - A suit (if you feel like it)! Still not sure what that means? Check out this article: https://www.theknot.com/content/what-to-wear-dressy-casual Since the reception venue is not heated, we suggest bringing a warmer layer for when it cools down in the evening.

Question

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

Answer

The outdoor section of the venue is made up of grassy/gravelly areas; therefore, stiletto heels are NOT recommended! Block heels or wedges are your friends.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to capacity constraints, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

As our wedding is a mostly evening event, and we want our guests to be able to kick back and enjoy, we kindly request that you find alternate arrangements for children during the event.

Question

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes, the property is wheelchair accessible.
