Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

All RSVPs are due by September 1st, 2023.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

First and foremost, we want all our guests to be comfortable and feel great in their favorite wedding attire! Please keep in mind that we will be up in the mountains during November, so it will be chilly. Ladies, I'd suggest something more floor-length with a wrap of some kind. Gentlemen, it's time to pull out your favorite suit!

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! Please check the 'Travel' tab on our website for a list of local hotels and cabins! You can also checkout the wedding guest guidebook created by our venue for options closest to the venue.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our ceremony and reception are adult-only events, with the exception of children in the wedding party. We do have a strict guest list to due venue capacity and we want to ensure safety for all due to the mountainous location of our venue. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time so that you can enjoy a date night and celebrate the evening with us!

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Our wedding is RSVP only, so we'll only be able to accommodate those who are listed on your invitation. We do have a strict guest list to stay within venue capacity. Please be mindful that RSVPs are due by September 1st, 2023. Thanks for your understanding and we look forward to celebrating with you!

Where is the closest airport?

Answer

The closest airport is in Knoxville, TN, approximately an hour away from the venue. We are going our best to find the best way to safely transport those who are flying in from the airport to their Air BNB and will follow up with details closer to the event. We understand a lot of our loved ones are flying in from afar and we so appreciate you making the effort to join us on our special day.

Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

We have a good amount of people flying in from different areas and are expecting to have a few cars at our disposal. There is also a shuttle service that is able to go door to door to pick up and drop off guests within a 6 hour window of the big day. This shuttle will take you from your place of stay to the venue and back home. However, if you are flying in to Knoxville (the closest airport) and prefer renting a car to have at your disposal throughout the weekend, you are more than welcome to do so! Again, we are so appreciative of you taking the time and effort to come join us on our big day.

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Please note that there is NO guest parking at the venue as it is privately located at the top of a mountain. Guests will be asked to park at Smoky Mountain Ziplines located at 509 Mill Creek Road Pigeon Forge, TN. A shuttle bus will pick guests up from that parking lot and take them up the mountain to the venue. The shuttle bus will take ~15 minutes roundtrip and will not run during the ceremony. The shuttle will run at the end of the evening, taking all guests back down the mountain to their cars.

Have you reserved hotel blocks?

Answer

After speaking with multiple hotels in the area, I found it best for guests to reserve their hotel rooms individually. I found that the prices per night offered by numerous hotels were more expensive than when individually booked through their website. With this, it is best to book your hotel room well in advance (preferably before August), as Pigeon Forge is quite the tourist attraction during the fall. I do have 2 specific hotel links for those looking, so please feel free to reach out and I can send those to you!

Will the ceremony and reception be held at the same location?

Answer

Yes! Both the ceremony and the reception will be held at the Magnolia Venue. There will be a cocktail hour in between the ceremony and dinner.

Indoors or outdoors?

Answer

As of now, we plan to have the ceremony outdoors and the reception indoors. Should the weather change, we have a plan B to hold the ceremony under a covered patio and still hold the reception indoors.

Open Bar ?

Answer

Yes, drinks are on us! Please drink responsibly as the roads are a little windy in the mountains.

What time does the reception end?

Answer

The reception will end at 10:00 pm.

Why wasn't I invited?

Answer

We had to agree on a limited number of guests due to our capacity limit. Unfortunately, that means there are a number of friends and extended family who won't be able to be with us on our wedding day as much as we would love to have everyone there. We hope you understand that this was this most difficult part of wedding planning, but we hope to connect sometime soon with those of you who won't be able to attend. We appreciate your understanding!
