If you haven't been to Lake Tahoe, you are missing out. The North Shore/Incline Village area is just 45 minutes from Reno. Sand Harbor State Park is beautiful, but be aware that parking can be hassle sometimes.

Go see historic Virginia City! Maybe even ride the train. (Fun Fact: Stephanie's first job was herding longhorn cattle at a ranch in Virginia City)
Arcade and water park, with bowling, mini golf, laser tag, etc. They have good food and drinks too.
