We got married!

Brandon and Lyndsey met in 1995 at Richland Northeast High School in Columbia, S.C., he, a junior, and she, a freshman. They shared occasional lunch meetups and after-school phone calls. Brandon left Columbia for college in 1997 and Lyndsey eventually graduated, the-then friends losing touch over the next 12 years and unknowingly circling around each other's lives. In 2008, Lyndsey found a school directory with Brandon's phone number and called him, rekindling their friendship. After reconnecting, they supported each other and became best friends while also casually dating for approximately 1 year. On April 15, 2013, after 18 years of friendship, they decided to start dating seriously, enjoying a long-distance relationship for a year until Lyndsey moved back home to Columbia in 2014. Once Lyndsey returned home, the couple began to plan for something a lot more permanent. They discussed marriage, introduced each other to their families and combined households. As a surprise, Brandon purchased an engagement ring in July 2015 after previously asking for and receiving the blessing from Lyndsey's parents. Christmas Day 2015 came, and Brandon nervously proposed marriage at the home of Lyndsey's aunt. Lyndsey happily said yes and the epic engagement commenced! Throughout the following years, the happy couple created a home and life formally and completely joined full circle April 15, 2021, when they were married at their church in their hometown in front of a small group of family. Because of the ongoing pandemic, the Beattys will celebrate with family and friends once it is safe to do so.
