There are reserved rooms in a hotel block at Hotel Republic in Downtown San Diego. Rooms in this block are discounted at $199 a night - the most cost-effective option you'll find for a nice hotel in the Downtown area. To reserve a room in this hotel block, please click on the "View" button below. Rooms are open to reserve Friday, August 23 - Monday, August 25. The last day to reserve is room is Tuesday, July 23. If you are having trouble reserving a room in the hotel block, let us know! If you want to book outside of the hotel block, the two best areas for hotels are Downtown and in Mission Valley. The hotels in Downtown are a bit swankier and a lot closer to various activities and destinations. The wedding venue is in Downtown - a short walk from most hotels - so that's another plus. The hotels in Mission Valley are usually cheaper than Downtown and very centrally located to the entire city, but you will 100% need a car to get anywhere.

Flight

San Diego International Airport

SAN is the main airport serving the region. If you are flying in, you should know that San Diego does not have a great public transit system. You will need to use rideshare apps or rent a car if you are staying for a weekend to get around the city effectively. Most of the sightseeing destinations are far enough apart where having a rental car will be the most economical way of getting around. The airport does have shuttles to a rental car area. SAN is well served by Southwest and Delta.
