One of our all-time FAVORITE places to get a bite to eat. The food is to die for, and the bayside views aren't too shabby either. Expect it to be busy but service is usually very quick, with reasonable prices. If you want to see the bay.
Balboa Park is a great way to spend a few hours for people of any age. Nicknamed the "Crown Jewel of San Diego", the park features large open walkways and plazas, incredible architecture, houses of international cultures, performers, a wide variety of museums and more. The San Diego Botanical Gardens and adjacent koi pond is highly recommended. Take a nice stroll through the large Japanese friendship garden or grab a cold beverage of your choice from the outdoor bar in the main plaza. Everything is free other than the museums, which require an entrance fee. Click "View" to see the website, including a full list of museums.
The historic heart of San Diego. If you are staying downtown, this is where your nights will end up. Dozens of restaurants, bars, shops and more within a short walking distance from each other. During the day there is something for everybody here, kids included. At night it gets pretty lively, and we recommend adults only. Pick your poison, from dueling pianos to nightclubs, tequila lounges to sports bars, with everything in between. Feel free to ask Brandon or Kelly if you are looking for a certain vibe in the heart of San Diego's nightlife scene.
