Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Kelly Edwards and Brandon Jones
Many of you are coming from far away - and we are so happy you are! If you don't live in the area, we encourage you to check out some of the best sights, sounds and tastes of the area.
Carnitas' Snack Shack - Embarcadero

Carnitas' Snack Shack - Embarcadero

1004 North Harbor Drive, San Diego, CA 92101

One of our all-time FAVORITE places to get a bite to eat. The food is to die for, and the bayside views aren't too shabby either. Expect it to be busy but service is usually very quick, with reasonable prices. If you want to see the bay.

Seaport Village

Seaport Village

849 W. Harbor Drive, San Diego, CA 92101

Seaside village with a bunch of small shops, eateries and nice views. Very kid friendly - includes a carousel. Overlooks the bay. Touristy but fun, and you don't need to spend any money to enjoy walking around here for an hour or two.

Balboa Park

Balboa Park

Pan American Rd E, San Diego, CA 92101

Balboa Park is a great way to spend a few hours for people of any age. Nicknamed the "Crown Jewel of San Diego", the park features large open walkways and plazas, incredible architecture, houses of international cultures, performers, a wide variety of museums and more. The San Diego Botanical Gardens and adjacent koi pond is highly recommended. Take a nice stroll through the large Japanese friendship garden or grab a cold beverage of your choice from the outdoor bar in the main plaza. Everything is free other than the museums, which require an entrance fee. Click "View" to see the website, including a full list of museums.

Gaslamp Quarter

Gaslamp Quarter

Fifth Avenue and Market Street, San Diego, CA 92101

The historic heart of San Diego. If you are staying downtown, this is where your nights will end up. Dozens of restaurants, bars, shops and more within a short walking distance from each other. During the day there is something for everybody here, kids included. At night it gets pretty lively, and we recommend adults only. Pick your poison, from dueling pianos to nightclubs, tequila lounges to sports bars, with everything in between. Feel free to ask Brandon or Kelly if you are looking for a certain vibe in the heart of San Diego's nightlife scene.
