A coastal tavern and inn located in Mount Pleasant, offering seasonal fare, classic cocktails, seven cozy hotel rooms and a bit of salty air. This is one of our Mt. Pleasant favorites! This restaurant is right down the street from the church and we love their brunch and dinner.
If you want a filling lunch before the wedding, we recommend going to Lewis BBQ. The first thing you’ll notice when you pull up to Lewis Barbecue are the massive, custom-made smokers, welded by the pitmaster himself. Inside you’ll order at the counter, where John Lewis is slicing up true Central Texas barbecue, cut-to-order. They also have a huge bar and backyard patio to keep you entertained year-round. This is a Craig Family favorite!
Another one of our favorite date night spots! For wonderful seafood, we recommend visiting 167 Raw for lunch or dinner. If there is a long wait, pop over to Bin 152 for a glass of wine! They offer many wines by the glass, plus cheese & charcuterie, in an art-adorned, rustic-cool space.
Experience the gracious hospitality and effortless style of a true Charleston living room. Outfitted with mid-century furnishings, a curated reading library and a showstopping brass bar, The Living Room is a warm and welcoming destination for afternoon cocktails or an evening aperitif. If the weather is nice, head upstairs to The Citrus Club for wonderful rooftop views of the city and delicious drinks.
One of the nation's oldest public markets and the cultural heart of Charleston. This market is home to more than 300 vibrant entrepreneurs, and is open every day of the year except Christmas!
If the weather is nice, check out Sullivans Island. Take a walk on the beach or pop into Home Team for an Irish Coffee or Game Changer!
Hampton Park is a public park located in peninsular Charleston. At 60 acres, it is the largest park on the peninsula. It is bordered by The Citadel to the west. Brandon spent a lot of time here when he was at The Citadel and now we love to go on walks here.
White Point Garden is located in the heart of the historic district downtown. This park provides beautiful views of Fort Sumter and of the Charleston Harbor. The park features lots of grass space, shaded by beautiful old oak trees. The park has a gazebo in the center and features a rich display of history, including an impressive display of Civil War cannons, and several monuments and statues.
Once a trolley bridge that connected Sullivan's Island and Mount Pleasant, the Pitt Street Bridge is now a scenic public park for recreation and relaxation.
If you feel like shopping, walk down King Street and pop into some of our favorite stores, including M. Dumas & Sons!
