What do I wear to a Black-tie preferred wedding?

Answer

A black-tie dress code traditionally refers to formal tuxedos for men and floor-length dresses for women. The reception is indoor/outdoor so please dress accordingly.

What is the weather like in Charleston, SC in January?

Answer

Charleston weather can be unpredictable! The daily maximum temperature in Charleston in January averages 59°F, with the lowest daily highs being around 32-40°F, up to around 77°F or so on the warmest days. Please check the weather forecast beforehand and dress accordingly.

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 5pm sharp. Please arrive in time to park and find a seat in the church!

Are the ceremony and the reception held at the same location?

Answer

No, the ceremony will be in Mount Pleasant at Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church and the reception will be downtown at The Gibbes Museum of Art.

Please make your way to The Gibbes Museum of Art (135 Meeting St. Charleston, SC 29401) for cocktail hour.

Will transportation be provided from the church to the reception?

Answer

No, there will not be transportation provided for guests. Everyone is responsible for their own transportation to and from venues.

Will there be parking available?

Answer

There will be plenty of parking at the church, however, we strongly recommend ubering to the art museum. If you choose to drive to the reception, we recommend parking in the parking garage on Queen St. at 93 Queen St, Charleston, SC 29401.

What date should I RSVP by?

Answer

December 15, 2024. You should have received a reply card and envelope in your invitation. Please RSVP via mail. Reach out if you have any questions!
