Wibby, among many of their other awards, just won brewery of the year for 2023! They specialize in lagers, and one of their Lightshine Radlers (beer mixed with lemonade) would be fantastic on a warm September day!
The Roost is where we went for our first date. They were also featured on Season 27, Episode 08 of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives!
This is where we went for our second date. We love their house margs! We will be serving their tacos for the meal at the wedding reception.
Collision is one of our most frequented restaurants for a night out. They are extremely friendly with dietary restrictions, which makes is super easy for Brandon's dairy allergy. Plus the food and drinks are super tasty, and they have amazing views. We will be having the rehearsal dinner here.
A combination running store/brewery, this also is part-owned by Julia's brother-in-law, Dave! Whether you want running shoe recommendations, or to try some local brews, or both, they also have a great patio for sitting and sipping!
Lost Gulch Overlook is one of Brandon's favorite views in Colorado. This is located in Boulder, just about 40 minutes from the wedding/hotels.
A few blocks of shopping and outdoor entertainment and restaurants with plenty to do and see in downtown Boulder.
A beautiful hike and park along (or to) the flatirons in Boulder!
The National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) is where all clocks are set from, and is similar to a COSI or Imagination Station type thing that teaches about atmospheric related things. There is also a trail head for a great hike right there. (Fair warning, hiking from this trail head is the only time Brandon has seen a rattlesnake on a hike)
Union Station is great to grab a beer, grab a train, or both! We will take the rail down to Denver to Union Station for Rockies games or other events to save ourselves from driving. The architecture is remarkable.
Hayter's is an official Ohio State Alumni Bar in Denver where you can watch every Buckeye game with ~200 other Ohio State fans! They will surely be full on Saturday, even for Marshall.
As you likely already know, Red Rocks is a fantastic location for concerts. We have been to a handful of concert's here together, and have more planned! There is also some hiking in the area and other events held in the amphitheater.
Stop by for a tour of the Coors Brewery! Unfortunately no longer free, it is neat to see the brewery and its history. You get samples also. Fun Fact: Coors makes a Native beer that is only made and sold within Colorado (and is pretty delicious).
Rocky Mountain National Park has countless trails to hike with incredible views of mountains, lakes, and wildlife! Or even just drive through on Trail Ridge Road (the highest paved road in America). Late September is prime Elk viewing time as they are in mating season. Emerald Lake and Dream Lake are two of our favorite hikes in the park.
One of the best rewards after a hike in Rocky Mountain National Park (or just for being in Estes Park) is an Avocado Margarita from Ed's Cantina. Brandon was pretty skeptical of these when he learned about them from a random girl from Ohio he passed on a hike in RMNP, but now every single trip to Estes Park has included a stop for them!
