One Sunday, the summer between my Freshman and Sophmore year of highschool, Brandon's family sat down in the church pew behind my family. I glanced over and I saw the cutest boy in the whole world. I stopped paying attention to the sermons for the rest of the summer. Brandon became "cute church boy," and my family's church attendance was perfect for the rest of the year. In February, Brandon started attending our church's youth group. He taught me how to flip quarters off my elbow and catch them, and how to cheat on my driving test. The following summer we traveled to New York City with our youth group, and after hours of playing card games one night, I was certain he was my type of person, six years later, I'm still certain.

Elena and I first met at church youth group back in high school. Truth be told, the only reason why I was at youth group was because I saw her in church and hoped she would be in attendance. Luckily, my gamble proved to be fruitful, and at the end of the night we bonded over her innate ability to not catch objects in motion. Fast forward a year and we were playing cards late one night on a mission trip. We stayed up well past our bedtime -clearly because of our shared love for card games. She was the prettiest girl I had ever seen, and she eventually let me take her out on a date. The first date went well.

To Our Friends and Family, Writing this makes me sad, but after considering the implications of COVID 19 and wanting to protect the health of our guests, we've made the difficult decision to postpone our wedding reception to next summer, July 31, 2021. We're still getting married on our original date, August 15, 2020 in the presence of immediate family and our bridal party. More than anything, we wish everyone could be there and we could spend the night dancing, dining, and celebrating with our favorite people. We're grateful for your understanding, patience, and flexibility. We cannot wait to celebrate with everyone together next summer! Change the dates will be sent out within the next few weeks.
