Accommodations in Highlands
Answer
Most hotels in Highlands open their online reservations 6 months out. You may call the hotel front desk or reservation system directly if you would like to book earlier. VRBO and AirBnB allow bookings up to a year out. Please keep in mind when booking rentals their proximity to town. Rentals located more than 3 miles away can be a 15 minute or more drive. Due to the abundance of places to stay, we did not set up a room block anywhere.

Getting Around in highlands
Answer
UBER and Lyft do not operate in Highlands so we recommend that you stay in town. We will have a wedding shuttle running back and forth from the venue to downtown. While we encourage you to use the shuttle, the venue does have parking as well.

Highlands Weather
Answer
The Highlands Plateau is in the southern Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina. The Village is at an elevation of 4,118 sea level, making it one of the highest altitudes and coolest of all towns in the southern US during the summer. February and March in Highlands enjoys an average high of 55 degrees and a low of 30 degrees. Please check the weather prior to the wedding and pack accordingly. It's a tricky time of year with weather!
