Well, I've got a lot to say about this. It's been wild. Here's the deal: Allison and I met through a teaching program called Memphis Teacher Residency in, wait for it...Memphis. I'm from the great state of North Carolina, and moved to Memphis after college, where Allison was patiently waiting for me to arrive. We started the program where I learned that teaching was really hard and that Allison was really good at it. Throughout the year, we both tended to stay up late working on assignments and lesson plans that we proscrastinated on and our relationship started from simply studying/doing anything but studying together. We eventually started dating and I totally nailed it from the start. We spent lots of time watching basketball/football and playing catch, you know, the stuff all girls love to do. Shockingly, Allison said I was being "selfish" with my time, which was ridiculous. This eventually led to a short break for us as I started to come to grips with my pride. An epic night in Paris with my homies finally led me to believe I made a BIG mistake letting her go. I then begged for mercy and then boom - a year and a half later I was down on my knee in front of the Mississippi River, asking Allison to marry me. We have grown so much during that time and are so excited to celebrate with everyone we love in December - See ya'll in Memphis on December 19th! Brandon
