Best Western Plus Windsor Hotel
If you are looking for a magically beautiful hotel to stay in we recommend the Windsor. Watch out for the hotel's mysterious ghosts though. Little Brothers Bistro and Floyd's Pub are both located in the Windsor and are delicious must haves!
Lee Council House
We recommend the Lee Council House if you want to see a BEAUTIFUL historic home located right off of the historic Lee Street. We actually looked into booking the Lee Council House for our wedding but decided it wasn't quite what we were looking for. The marble steps in the front are my favorite part.
The Maze
Cute place to do some shopping for any and all occasions and needs. Includes vintage home decor, boutique style clothes, and tons of wonderful gift ideas! A local favorite for shopping.
Global Village & Discovery Center
Very neat place to go to see some different cultures from all over the world. It showcases the homes Habitat for Humanity (also located in Americus) builds for people world wide.
Georgia Southwestern State University
Looking at colleges? GSW is a wonderful school and should be checked out!
Wolf Creek Plantation
Local winery. Good wine, EVEN BETTER wine slushies.
Rylander Theatre
Beautiful and a must see!
Plains
If you are coming for the weekend and have extra free time we recommend driving to Plains, only 15 minutes at the most outside of Americus, and home of Jimmy Carter. There are many things to do and though the town may be small, they have the best peanut butter ice cream i have ever had!
