Things To Do

Mexico City is one of our favorite places in the world and we hope you can spend as much time as possible exploring it. These are only a few of our favorite spots and we have many more recommendations!
Molino "El Pujol"

Molino "El Pujol"

146 General Benjamín Hill, Ciudad de México, CDMX 06100, Mexico
, +52 55 5271 3515

A traditional Mexican breakfast spot, come here for great tamales, chilaquiles, and cafe de olla (traditional Mexican coffee). An incredible vegetarian spot!

Saint

Saint

146 General Benjamín Hill, Ciudad de México, CDMX 06100, Mexico

Hands down the best concha we've ever had! If you don't know what a concha is, do yourself a favor and come here to taste one of these sweet Mexican pastries. Plus, it's right next door to Molino "El Pujol" if you want to check off two of our recommended spots at once.

Taquería Orinoco

Taquería Orinoco

179 Avenida Álvaro Obregón, Ciudad de México, CDMX 06700, Mexico
, +52 55 5514 6917

This is the In-N-Out of tacos! They have a small menu that's packed with big flavor. We highly recommend the tacos de chicharron. The line can get pretty long at night, so come during the day or visit one of their other locations in Mexico City if needed!

Tortas Al Fuego

Tortas Al Fuego

205 Avenida Sonora, Ciudad de México, CDMX 06170, Mexico
, +52 55 5264 2934

"Tortas" may be in their name, but Tortas al Fuego is home to our favorite tacos al pastor in the city. It's extremely unassuming (think plastic chairs and tables on the sidewalk), but come prepared to eat your heart out.

Pasaje Parián

Pasaje Parián

130 Avenida Álvaro Obregón, Ciudad de México, CDMX 06700, Mexico

A newly-renovated shopping alley with micro-restaurants and stores. Polpo is one of our new favorite spots for small plates and drinks!

Eno

A great lunch spot with locations in Roma and elsewhere around Mexico City.

Comedor Jacinta

Frida Kahlo Museum

Frida Kahlo Museum

247 Londres, Ciudad de México, CDMX 04100, Mexico
, +52 55 5554 5999

Catch a glimpse of Frida Kahlo's life and work by walking through the home she shared with Diego Rivera. Then head over for a stroll through Plaza Coyoacan - one of the city's most beautiful colonial squares.

Castillo de Chapultepec

Castillo de Chapultepec

Bosque de Chapultepec I Secc, Ciudad de México, CDMX, Mexico

Take a stroll through the "Central Park" of Mexico City and pay a visit to the castle on the hill. Spectacular views of the city.

Teotihuacan Pyramids

Teotihuacan Pyramids

Mexico

You can spend a half-day exploring the ruins of the ancient city Teotihuacan, located about an hour outside of Mexico City. It's said to be "the birthplace of the gods" and is home to the Pyramid of the Sun, the Pyramid of the Moon, and the Temple of Quetzalcóatl (the Feathered Serpent). It's easiest to arrive by Uber.

Ticuchi

Ticuchi

, +52 55 2589 4363

Owned by Enrique Olvera (who also runs Pujol - a Mexico City restaurant currently ranked as the world's 5th best), Ticuchi is a chic, upscale bar with great drinks and apps.

Pulqueria los Insurgentes

Pulqueria los Insurgentes

226 Avenida Insurgentes Sur, Ciudad de México, CDMX 06700, Mexico
, +52 55 5207 0917

Pulque is a lightly alcoholic smoothie-like drink made from fermented agave sap. Pulqueria los Insurgentes is a 3-floor (plus a rooftop) bar where you can try pulque in a variety of daily flavors.

La Clandestina

La Clandestina

298 Avenida Álvaro Obregón, Ciudad de México, CDMX 06140, Mexico
, +52 55 5212 1871

If you don't think you like mezcal, one drink from La Clandestina will change your mind. In addition to their amazing cocktails, we love this bar's moody and intimate vibe. Make sure to check out the jugs of mezcal as you walk in!
