Attending Sts. Peter and Paul Salesian School since Pre-K, the Salesian Boys & Girls Club since the age of 8, and only 1 year apart, Kevin and Brandi have shared numerous friends, attended many of the same events, and played on the same playground for 9 years. It’s always the girl who has school crushes, but rarely, if ever, do they think that crush will become their best friend, their true love, or the man they will marry. It was at a friend's Quinceanera in 2009 that started it all. It was the first time Brandi and Kevin both realized that they liked each other but neither of them acted on those feelings. Fast forward ten years to 2019 when their moms’ hairstylist texted Brandi to ask if it was okay to pass along her phone number to Kevin. Their first date in March of 2019 was drinks at Flights in Burlingame. They continued “dating” as friends for the next few months as they laughed about their past, caught up with what they were currently doing and where they thought their life would be taking them. They became an official couple in September 2019 and their love blossomed. Their mutual love of sports, family, friends and wine tasting has strengthened their love for each other and they are looking forward to their wedding day and happily ever after. School projects always seem to take time and effort. Kevin’s proposal plan starts with Kevin’s sister, Mia, creating a made-up “project” for school that would take them to the proposal spot. Mia’s “project” took Kevin, Brandi, and Mia to the deLorimier Winery nestled in beautiful Alexander Valley. It was the winery that Kevin and Brandi had gone to many times with the Amato/Soracco family to enjoy a day of laughter, lunch, and wine tasting under the beautiful oak tree. It was that oak tree that Kevin and Mia (the third wheel) put the scheme in place for Kevin to propose. The weather was in the high 70’s, a slight breeze and just a perfect day. They visited with Kevin’s cousin, Rebecca, who is the winery manager and who was also in on the “project.” They had a picnic lunch under the oak tree and looked around the vineyard for where Mia could take pictures for her “project.” After lunch, Mia decided that she would start on her “project” and off she went and put the plan in motion. The sun was shining, the wind was blowing, Mia was in place to capture the moment and at 2:05 pm on April 10, 2021, Kevin professed his love for Brandi. Without hesitation, Brandi said YES!
