FAQs

Here are some common questions that people will often ask regarding weddings.
Question

Is the ceremony and reception at different locations?

Answer

No, both the ceremony and reception are at Heritage Valley Farm. Once the ceremony is over, the reception will take place immediately.

Question

What is the venue like?

Answer

The venue is on a 15-acre farm. You must walk a little from the parking to the ceremony/reception area on grass. Heels could be difficult or uncomfortable during that short walk. As long as weather permits, the ceremony will be outside. The reception area is covered but open. They are doing some additions, so it may be different when the wedding occurs. The ceremony and reception are literally right next to each other.

Question

Is the venue handicapped accessible?

Answer

Yes, the venue is handicapped accessible. There are handicapped restrooms with ramps, and there is a closer parking area if needed.

Question

Can I bring a plus 1?

Answer

Yes, you can bring a plus 1. Just enter it when you RSVP.

Question

Can I bring kids?

Answer

Yes, you can bring children. It will be kid-friendly. When you RSVP, just enter how many children you will bring.

Question

When is the deadline to RSVP?

Answer

The deadline is June 1, 2025.

Question

What time should I arrive at the wedding?

Answer

People can start arriving between 1 and 1:30 p.m. The ceremony will take place promptly at 1:30 p.m.

Question

What time will the wedding end? Is there an after-party?

Answer

The website/invite says 5:30 p.m., but there is no specific end time at the moment. An after-party is to be determined.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is casual as it is on a farm.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

Under the travel tab, several areas to stay in are listed. The venue recommends the two in Lenoir. Morganton and Hickory have more things to do and are closer to where we live. We currently live in Marion, NC.

Question

Are there assigned seats at the wedding? Where should I sit?

Answer

There are no assigned seats at the ceremony or reception. You can sit wherever you feel comfortable.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes, however, no hard liquor will be served. Wine will be served.

Question

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

Answer

Yes, you may. We encourage it and also encourage you to share them with us.

Question

Can I post wedding photos on social media?

Answer

Yes, you may.

Question

Does the couple have a registry?

Answer

Yes, it is under the Registry tab. We really do not need items for the house. Initially, our wedding would be in July/August 2026, and we had planned our honeymoon for August 2026. We still have the cruise planned. There are several excursions listed if you would like to help cover some of those expenses. There are also a few other things mentioned.
