FAQs

Howdy y'all, Kian here. If you've made it this far into our site, congratulations! You're in our top 2% of readers. Braelyn said I could be responsible for the FAQs, which made me feel super important because it's obviously the most crucial part of planning a wedding.
Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

4:30pm (4:45pm at the latest!). Ceremony will start right at 5pm, but it takes a few minutes to get from the clubhouse to the ceremony location (grass field to the right of the clubhouse). Krupp, if you're reading this, you should aim for 9am just to be safe.

Question

Specifically, what's the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail or formal attire. Guys - suit and tie of any color. Probably the same suit and tie you've worn to the past 5 weddings. Girls - honestly I have no clue. Hold on, let me ask Braelyn... she said cocktail dress or nice pant suit. Keep in mind, the ceremony will be held on grass.

Question

Can guests bring kids?

Answer

While we love all of the children in our lives, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adults-only event unless otherwise indicated on your invite/RSVP.

Question

How should I get to and from Medinah?

Answer

So you have a few options: 1. Drive both ways (valet is free!) 2. Uber/Lyft to and from Medinah (Ubers and Lyfts should be easy to come by) If you live or are staying in downtown Chicago, you'll want to look at this third option of getting home... 3. Transportion is NOT provided to the ceremony, however, following the reception, at 11:30pm, bus transportation will be provided from Medinah to a Chicago bar (to continue the festivities) and the Chicago Marriott. If you are interested in this transportation option, please indicate "yes" when RSVPing.

Question

If I'm from out of town, should I stay near Medinah or in the city?

Answer

Totally up to you! If you're coming in for a quick weekend just to celebrate, feel free to book a place close to the venue. If you want to make more of a weekend trip, maybe go out in Chicago on Friday, feel free to stay down there and uber (or join the bus) back to the city Saturday night! For your convenience, we have a group discount at the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile. Please see the travel page for more details.

Question

Kian, what are you most excited for?

Answer

Wow, how nice of you to ask. Obviously I'm most excited for celebrating Braelyn and I's love, spending the night with you all, and all that good stuff. But on top of that, the bar package at Medinah is pretty elite. Tito's, Crown Royal, Four Roses, a few specialty cocktails that Braelyn and I get to create...it'll be a good time.
