We first met playing pickleball thanks to our mutual friends Abby and Mason—who, as it turns out, were pretty great matchmakers! Abby invited Emily, and Mason invited Brady, and the rest is history. Emily, of course, was immediately impressed by Brady's sparkly eyes and flowy hair, and Brady was impressed by Emily's insane athleticism and pickleball skills. The day after we met, Brady asked Emily on a date. Our first few dates consisted of working out, watching sunrises and sunsets, and cooking together. We quickly fell in love! After 6 lovely months of dating in the same city, Emily moved to Charlottesville, Virginia, to start a PhD program at the University of Virginia. We spent a year and a half dating through countless phone calls and FaceTime dates while living across the country from each other. That season of long distance taught us so much and helped us grow deeper in our relationship, our friendships, and our faith. Brady got a job and moved to Virginia, and we got engaged quickly after! Our relationship is truly an answer to prayer, and we are so thankful for God’s provision in bringing us together. We cannot wait to celebrate our love with you all soon!
