Brady and Erika first met through work in 2021 at the weekly YPC hangouts, but their real story began at a work golf outing in August 2022. Erika signed up with zero golf experience hoping not to make a fool of herself. By chance, she and Brady were paired together until rain rolled in and teams had to be rearranged. Erika hoped she would not be the one reassigned to a different team, not realizing at the time that she also needed to hope Brady would stay on her team. In the end, Brady was the one chosen to switch teams. After the outing, the two went to dinner and talked for hours. The next day, Brady asked Erika for her number and they continued talking and attending YPC events. In October, Brady invited Erika and a couple other people to golf at the same course. From that day on, they were inseparable, spending every day together. Three years after that rainy afternoon, Brady and Erika found themselves back on the course where it all began. On hole 18, Brady got down on one knee and asked Erika to marry him.
