We met at a bar... but not like you think! I was his bartender when he’d come to play pool with the guys, he was my entertainment and would keep me company during my slow shift. Eventually after a few weeks of meeting him this way I decided we should have a more proper introduction. Unfortunately, being the observant person we all know I am NOT, I had forgotten a few KEY details about him; I knew he had the prettiest blue eyes but I could not remember his name or apparently even his hair color. After my attempts at searching on my own through Facebook for a tall blonde guy with blue eyes that came into Feiks on Monday nights provided zero answers, I texted my roommate and a guy she knew at the time for some help. I knew that guy was friends with who I was looking for so I figured he'd be easy to find. After giving them enough BAD information about the tall, blonde guy from the bar they kept sending me the wrong people! 30 minutes passed and my roommate finally texted me the name Brady Pritchett. "That is him" I wrote her back! I was so excited they had found the guy... that is until she texted me: "We had to enlist more help since we went through all of the tall blonde friends and none of them were him. So we asked his roommate for help... Arielle his roommate IS BRADY PRITCHETT." Low and behold Brady himself was asked to help them find the “tall, blonde guy from the bar on Monday nights” and quickly found out that he was searching for himself! I was so embarrassed and figured that was the end of that. But Brady ended up reaching out to me! He made fun of me for thinking he was a blonde when his hair was and has always been dark brown but asked me on a date anyway. That date will always be one of the best memories of my life... we laughed and danced the night away and I knew in my heart by the end of that night he’d be the man I’d marry. - Arielle
Even though my mom and I were THE ONLY TWO PEOPLE on this planet that didn't know, I can tell everyone I had NO IDEA that he would be proposing to me in Cozumel, Mexico surrounded by my closest friends. We had planned a New Years couples trip, and I really thought that was all that it would be. I had never tried on a ring, we hadn't talked about what I wanted, AND he completely threw me off by asking if I wanted to go ring shopping the Sunday after we returned from the trip. We were taking "couple photos" on a pier in paradise, above the ocean, surrounded by one of the prettiest sunsets I've ever witnessed. My best friend turned me around to "fix a string on my dress" and when I turned back to embrace him for our photo he was down on one knee with the biggest smile on his face. He asked if I would marry him, I caught my breath and then said "wait... are you kidding me?" (not my finest moment, but remember he IS THE ULTIMATE JOKESTER!) He responded with "does this look like I am kidding you?" and my eyes flooded with tears as I said yes to the man of my dreams. - Arielle
