In March 2022, Veronica got a message from a homeschooler friend who was visiting Los Angeles, Will. They floated a few ideas to get together, and Will ended up inviting Veronica to a small gathering at a house in Los Feliz, saying "Brady will be there." Veronica said "I'm not sure I know Brady, lol sorry to Brady." Brady's parents were house-sitting, and she brought a bottle of champagne. Veronica and Brady chatted about working in the movie industry, as she was on The Garfield Movie at that time, and coincidentally using the software that Brady works on. They played games, Parcheesi, and Veronica remembers thinking Brady, and his dog Otto, were pretty cute. Brady remembers thinking the same, and noted that Otto particularly liked Veronica. However, Brady had just moved to Wisconsin, and when she left, he didn't ask for her number, he was too nervous. He had planned to ask Will for it the next day, but she beat him to it, finding Brady on instagram and messaging him as soon as she got home late that night. He messaged her back immediately, and they both stayed up way too late that night texting back and forth. Brady had to wake up for a flight the next morning around 5am, but he said it was "worth it." 5 days after meeting, Veronica told her best friend Abby that she really liked him. During their first phone call, Veronica grilled Brady with questions, seeing if they were compatible beyond that first meeting. He passed with flying colors, and they were nearly inseparable from then. In February 2025, Brady planned an entire day of activities, making a perfect day for him and Veronica. At the end of the day, he took her back to the house where they met, and made up for not asking for her number by asking her to marry him in the same spot they had said goodnight the first time they met.
