Kate moved to Zumbrota her freshman year, this being her 4th time as the "new kid". Brady was a lifer in the Zumbrota school district. Both now attending Zumbrota-Mazeppa High School, passing each other in the halls and even having a few classes together, but it wasn't until Junior year when Brady 'slid into her DMs'. Not long after, Brady worked up all his courage to ask her to Prom and soon after they shared their first kiss, making it 'official'! They continued getting more and more serious through the remainder of high school. Although their senior year was cut short due to covid, their parents allowed them in each other quarantine bubble. This gave them the opportunity to grow together the summer before Kate left for college in North Dakota. Still navigating a young relationship at the height of the pandemic and now many, many miles between them, 299 miles to be exact, their love continued to grow. As the world was becoming back to normal, Kate and Brady began looking into the next major milestone, moving in together. This must have gone well because then they bought their first home in 2022. Once again, Brady knew it was time for him to work up even more courage. Planning a trip to the pumpkin patch, he got down on one knee in a field of mums to ask Kate to marry him. With tears streaming down her face, she said yes! Finally, your favorite high school sweethearts are getting married!
