You can look around the ship's deck plan and see what is onboard the ship at https://disneycruise.disney.go.com/ships/deck-plans/ and choosing Disney Dream from the dropdown menu.
If you are a U.S. Citizen 18+ you need a valid government issued photo ID ex.drivers license and a copy or original of your state issued birth certificate. Cruisers under the age of of 18 only need a copy or original of their state issued birth certificate.
There are several dining locations for dinner onboard the ship as opposed to typical cruise-lines that have one main dining location. Three of the four nights aboard the Disney Dream you will dine in a different restaurant with one restaurant repeating, but your dining staff will rotate with you. The restaurants are Royal Palace (Deck 3), Animator's Palate (Deck 3), Enchanted Garden (Deck 2). These will also be your breakfast locations. There is also Cabanas, a buffet on Deck 11 that is open for breakfast-lunch-dinner. Check your Daily Navigator to verify which sit down restaurants are open for lunch day to day.
No, your meals are included in your cruise fare. However, if you decide to make a reservation to eat at Palo or Remy there is a charge to dine in these restaurants. Palo and Remy are adult only dining experiences. Also, some room service fees may apply depending on the item you order ex. Soda. Keep in mind there is a 24hr beverage station on Deck 11 offering soft drinks, water, and tea included in your cruise fare!

The Vacation Protection Plan is also known as travel coverage/insurance. We recommend adding it to your reservation because you never know what can happen and we want to make sure you are covered. You can read all of the coverage details at https://disneycruise.disney.go.com. If you scroll to the bottom of the page, under 'Help' you will see 'Disney Cruise Line Vacation Protection Plan'.
You have two options when it comes to gratuities for your Head Server, Server, Assistant Server, and Stateroom Host/Hostess. The first option is you can pre-pay these gratuities up to 3 days prior to the sail date. You can add this option by either letting us know, or calling Disney Cruise Line. Any cast member can assist with adding that. The second option is to just have them charged to your onboard account which will be charged to the card you have on file for your stateroom at the end of the sailing. It is the same price either way, $13.50 per person per night of sailing to cover all four crew members (Total is $108 for a party of 2). Gratuities for room service are paid directly to the crew member at your discretion. Should you purchase an alcoholic beverage at any bar onboard or at Castaway Cay, you are automatically charged a 15% gratuity.
There are two different dining times onboard, Main Dining and Second Dining. Main Dining typically dines around 6:15 pm and then will enjoy the show in the Walt Disney Theater. Second Dining sees the show in the Walt Disney Theater, and then dines around 8:15 pm. (Shows run twice a night). Due to some young children joining us on the cruise, we have selected Main Dining. If you book online, it automatically places you in Second Dining. You can change this online or call to get that modified (or ask us to get it changed for you). You do not have to join us for Main Dining if you do not want to, it will not hurt our feelings. Our reservations will be linked so that we will all be on the same rotation during Main Dining.
The ship is a cash-free vessel. We recommend adding a credit card to your account during your Online Check-In so you can use your Key To The World Card to make purchases in the gift shops, concession stands and bars. Your card will be charged at the end of the cruise for any purchases you have made onboard. You can also view your folio in real time on the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App which must be downloaded prior to embarkation. You can also select a cash option during your Online Check-In which will give your stateroom a limit you can charge to before you will need to go to Guest Services to settle your bill in cash. Please note, the line for Guest Services gets very long on the last night of sailing. Your last option is to purchase Disney Gift Cards and place them on your account as an Onboard Credit. You can do this onboard with Guest Services for by calling Disney Cruise Line up to 3 days prior to sailing. Any un-used amount would be returned to the gift cards.
