To make the evening truly special, we are going with a Black Tie dress code. We will be having our wedding ceremony at a Catholic Church, however will not judge if any guest prefers to take shoes off and dance as long as it's done at the reception only.
"A little bit of magic". We'll make some nods to fantasy and fiction, and with an Edwardian-style reception venue and cathedral it will definitely feel surreal. However we will maintain grace and elegance too (as long as no fantastic beasts get in the way, of course....)
It's predicted to be in the mid 50s in October 2025 for coastal Connecticut, with the online farmer's almanac predicting a 3 degree below average temp at this time (estimated around 53-56 degrees) with likely probabilities of rain.
You could probably start by looking into Hartford-Bradley int'l (BDL) or Providence-Green (PVD). PVD is about 53min from the venue and BDL is about 1hr 15min. Farther airports are Boston-Logan (BOS) at about 2.5hrs away, LaGuardia Int'l (LGA) about 3.5hrs away, or Burlington Int'l (BTV) about 4.5hrs away if you're looking to explore more of the area prior to or after the event.
Yes. A big factor in choosing a venue for us was accessibility. Our venue does have elevator access to the second floor/balcony/overlook and has ramps that lead to the outdoor areas and patios. The venue itself is well-lit and our DJ is providing additional lighting as well.
Absolutely. We are working closely with our caterers to create a menu that accommodates all currently known allergies and restrictions. When you receive your invitation, please make any additional intolerances known. Please don't wait until the reception to alert the caterers of any issues.
