A: We’re going for a Lakeside Garden Party vibe! Think sundresses, floral prints, and light suits. Since the ceremony is in a garden, we recommend block heels or flats rather than stilettos to keep you from sinking into the grass.
A: Yes! After our luncheon, we’ll be transitioning into the Wedding Olympics. Please bring comfortable summer clothes (shorts, t-shirts) and running shoes so you can compete for prizes comfortably.
A: To keep Dave & Jo Anne's home tidy, we have a no-outdoor-shoes policy indoors. Please bring a pair of slippers or "indoor-only" shoes if you'd like to have something on your feet while inside!
A: The wedding is at a private property: 718 Dunlop Shores Rd.
A: We will have a shuttle running from the Hampton Inn Saturday morning to bring you to the property and returning in the evening after the party ends. Departure to Ceremony: The shuttle will depart from the Hampton Inn promptly at 8:45 AM on August 1st. Return to Hotel: A return shuttle will depart the wedding for the hotel at 12:30 AM.
A: We have a block of rooms at the Hampton Inn Elliot Lake under Matheson/Raposo wedding. You do need to call to book the room with the special rate as they do not offer online promo codes at this location. Please note there is a 2-night minimum stay for the special wedding rate. We recommend booking early!
A: It’s our twist on a backyard reception! We’ll have teams and yard games set up from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. There will be prizes for the winners, so bring your game face!
A: If you’d like to play 9 or 18 holes at Stone Ridge on August 2nd, please mark "Yes" to the golf question on your RSVP. Make sure to bring your own clubs and appropriate golf attire.
A: No worries! The "Dock Day" is for you. We’ll be hanging out at the lake for swimming and relaxing. Don't forget your bathing suit and a towel!
A: Since we are in Northern Ontario, we suggest bringing: Footwear: Running shoes (for games) and indoor shoes/slippers. Sun Protection: Sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses. Lake Gear: Bathing suits, towels, and sandals. Comfort: A reusable water bottle and a lawn chair if you have a favorite one!
A: August 1st What's for breakfast on the morning of the wedding? A continental breakfast which includes: The Hot Table: Sweet and Salty waffle bar. The Parfait Bar: Build your own breakfast bowl with a selection of: Fresh seasonal fruits, yogurt, and crunchy home made granola Morning Brews & Refreshments Coffee & Tea (caffeinated and decaf), chilled juice, milk - dairy and plant-based substitutions available. Following the ceremony, we will be serving a delicious charcuterie luncheon including: Charcuterie table, devilled eggs, assorted egg and salmon on croissants, ham and apple butter wraps, crudités, fruit platter with pineapple dip, Hot mushroom dip with assorted artisan breads, pumpernickel dip with pumpernickel dippers, assorted sweets. For Dinner: A dinner buffet which includes: Tuscan Chicken, Bacon-Wrapped Stuffed Pork Tenderloin, with penne alla vodka, served with garlic mashed potatoes, seasonal vegtables, Italian salad, garlic bread, and dinner rolls. Dietary Substitutions: Stuffed Portobello Mushroom Melt (Vegetarian) Sweet Vegetable Curry with Basmati Rice (Vegetarian) Roasted Stuffed Cauliflower (Vegan) Assorted desserts.
