Can I Bring My Kids? Or A Guest?

Given constraints at our wedding venue, invited guests are limited to those on the wedding invitation envelope.

What is the closest airport? Other travel options and considerations?

Answer

TF Green Airport (PVD) in Providence is 25 miles from our wedding venue and Boston Logan Airport (BOS) is 85 miles from our wedding venue. The Kingston Amtrak Station is also a short drive from our wedding venue and is served by Northeast Regional trains. Lyft, Uber, and local taxi companies are available but may be more limited than many guests are used to - we will provide shuttles for our wedding events, but a rental car may be a good idea if you are looking to explore Rhode Island before or after the festivities.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Category Is: Try to Outshine the Grooms. Do you love tulle but never have a reason to wear it? Is there a fascinator, kilt, or wig you've been itching to try? Are you looking to repurpose your own wedding dress (trust us - we won't be offended)? Great. Wear that. Throw the rule book out the window - as long you're comfortable, having fun, and feel great wearing your look (or lewk), you're meeting the dress code. Are there any rules for the dance floor?

Answer

Yes. 1. No coordinated dances. YMCA, Macarena and Electric Slide will not be played here, so perhaps practice 1 - 2 original moves ahead of time and really commit. 2. No dance circles, because they are Brad's nightmare scenario (this is not a joke - NO DANCE CIRCLES). 3. Have fun! 4. End of rules.

Are there any other travel destinations you recommend while we're in the area?

Answer

We recognize that most of our guests will be traveling into Rhode Island for the festivities, and there's nothing like New England this time of year - we hope that presents an opportunity for further exploration before or after the wedding! Boston and Providence are easily accessible by train, either via Amtrak (departing from Kingston Station) or the T (departing from Wickford Junction Station). Multiple destinations on Cape Cod are accessible by ferry service from Boston, or locally from Quonset Point for the Martha's Vineyard Fast Ferry. Block Island, a beloved local destination, is accessible only by ferry that departs from Point Judith. Leaf peeping in Vermont, New Hampshire, or Maine would also be a relatively easy drive, and we highly recommend Portland, Maine (and the nearby L.L. Bean shopping extravaganza in Freeport) as well. With the caveat that we're definitely no travel agents, we're happy to help however we can with planning or brainstorming!
