Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Brad Highland and Liza Sheketoff
Grand Canyon National Park offers some of the most amazing views in the world. If you pay the entry fee, your vehicle is covered for a week. If you want to explore more National Parks, Liza and Brad highly recommend the America the Beautiful pass, which gets you free admission to almost all NPS sites for a year ($80). Seniors can pay a one-time fee of $80, and get free admission to almost all NPS sites FOR LIFE! Once inside the park, Liza and Brad highly recommend the shuttle buses as a way to get around (you can even take them from most hotels into the park).

Not for the feint of legs, down is deceptively easy; coming back up is another animal. Amazing views as you hike down the canyon walls. Best to start early in the morning. NEVER attempt to reach the bottom of the canyon and come back up in the same day. Liza and Brad recommend trekking down to Cedar Ridge, seeing the amazing view, and coming back up.

Have time for a drive through the park? Head out to Desert View. Plenty of amazing stops along the way. Especially gorgeous for sunset.

Want to see some great views of the canyon while not doing very strenuous hiking? Take the rim trail to see some amazing views while ambling along the (mostly) flat South Rim. Explore the visitor centers, shops, and museums along the way!

Feel like trekking down into the canyon? Feel like dying on your way back up? This is the hike for you! It's hot and very, very steep. Take a water bottle or two (there are refill stations every so often). NEVER attempt to reach the bottom of the canyon and come back up in the same day.

For all the days along the way
