Casual. Be sure to wear flats - it is unpaved and uneven, we don't want anyone sinking into the mud! And if you would like to go out to the edge, there is a step down, so don't wear anything too tight.
Yes, however Shoshone point is difficult to find if you don't know where it is. You will find an unsigned turn-off on the north side of Desert View Drive (Highway 64) 1.2 miles east of Yaki Point Road and just west of mile marker 246. There is a small, unpaved parking lot, where you can park if you drive yourself. Past the gate, it is approximately a 1 mile walk on a dirt road to the event area.
Your presence at our wedding is a gift enough! But if you still want to give us a little something, we have a registry on this website.
In keeping with the theme, we would love to visit more National Parks! We are currently looking at trips to Alaska that go to multiple parks in one trip. We have not decided if we will be going on our own or with a group, so if you have any group suggestions let us know. Your gift will help us with flights, food, and any other trip costs.
As this will be inside the National Park, the permit we have allows only a certain number of people. If we have not specifically included a plus one on your invitation, please ask us as soon as possible if you would like to bring a date, so we can make sure we are not over the limit on our permit.
The event area is outdoors. Weather at the Grand Canyon can be unpredictable this time of year, so please be prepared. If it is raining too hard to have the wedding at Shoshone Point, we will be in touch with updates.
Feel free to email Brad and Liza's wedding email, BradandLiza.wedding@gmail.com. We both check it, so one of us will get back to you shortly.
